We approached this topic having heard about the horrors of child trafficking, exploitation, and sex crimes, but we couldn’t believe how prevalent these issues are in our world. You might think, “How can there be such unimaginable evil—worse than anything conceivable? This can’t be real. If it were, it would be all over the news, the most pressing issue facing our planet. We’d have special task forces using the most advanced systems to take down these vile predators in a joint international effort.” But in reality, the response to this crisis is far from adequate. Ask yourself: why?

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) crimes have reached epidemic proportions. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received 35.9 million reports of CSAM in 2023, up from 16.9 million reports in 2019.[1]
