Just in case you forgot, Benjamin and wife Sara Netanyahu faced several serious charges in 2016-2024. Let’s take a look at them.
Corruption Trial (Cases 1000, 2000, 4000): Netanyahu was under investigation and on trial for charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust, stemming from three cases initiated in 2019:
- Case 1000: Allegations that Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, received lavish gifts (e.g., cigars, champagne) worth around 700,000 shekels (~$186,000) from businessmen Arnon Milchan and James Packer in exchange for political favors, such as visa assistance and tax exemptions.
- Case 2000: Claims that Netanyahu negotiated with Arnon Mozes, publisher of Yedioth Ahronoth, for favorable media coverage in return for legislation to limit the rival newspaper Israel Hayom.
- Case 4000: Accusations that Netanyahu, as Communications Minister, provided regulatory benefits to Bezeq owner Shaul Elovitch in exchange for positive coverage on Elovitch’s Walla! news site. The trial, ongoing since May 2020, saw the prosecution rest in July 2024, with Netanyahu beginning his testimony in December 2024. He denies the charges, calling them a “witch hunt.”
International Criminal Court (ICC) Investigation: On November 21, 2024, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Gaza war (October 8, 2023–May 20, 2024). The charges included:
- Starvation as a method of warfare.
- Crimes against humanity, such as murder, persecution, and inhumane acts, related to impeding humanitarian aid and causing civilian suffering in Gaza. Netanyahu rejected the warrants as “antisemitic” and “absurd.”
Aide-Related Scandals:
- Classified Document Leak: In November 2024, a former spokesman in Netanyahu’s office, Eliezer Feldstein, was investigated for leaking classified military documents to the media to support Netanyahu’s tough stance in Gaza ceasefire negotiations.
- October 7 Phone Record Alteration: Aides, including Chief of Staff Tzachi Braverman, were probed for allegedly altering records of phone calls from October 7, 2023, to portray Netanyahu as more decisive during the Hamas attack. Netanyahu was not directly a subject of these aide investigations but faced criticism for his office’s conduct.
Sara Netanyahu Investigation: In December 2024, Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, was investigated for alleged witness tampering related to the corruption trial, prompting accusations from her lawyer that the probe aimed to undermine the prime minister.
With all this happening and Netanyahu facing potential serious fines and prison time, Hamas launched an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, pausing everything mentioned above. Some speculate that the Israeli government allowed this Hamas attack, suggesting it was a false flag operation. How could one of the world’s most sophisticated intelligence agencies, Mossad, fail to predict this low-tech terrorist event? Notably, Hamas used motorized hang gliders, specifically powered paragliders, during their attack on Israel. Following this, the war in Gaza erupted, and now an ongoing conflict with Iran risks escalating into World War III.
Side note, you should have a look into Netanyahu’s cabinet members, these guys are not good.

Itamar Ben-Gvir: National Security Minister, Jewish Power Party leader. Advocates Gaza reoccupation, opposes ceasefires, supports blocking aid, and pushes ultranationalist control policies.
Bezalel Smotrich: Finance Minister, Religious Zionism Party leader. Calls for permanent Gaza occupation, Israeli settlements, and strategic separation to block Palestinian statehood.
You should watch Ian Carroll’s report on this; he articulates it much better than I do.
